Counselling with Compassion at the Cornerstone Counselling Centre
Cornerstone is a not for profit, registered charity that has been providing affordable counselling services for 34 years. It is our belief that no one should suffer alone and as community members, we are all responsible to ease the pain of others whenever possible. To accomplish this, we offer counselling services to those who are overwhelmed by personal crisis or struggling with mental health issues. We ensure that our services are affordable by adjusting our fees based on the client's household income. Our ability to provide this help is dependent on generous funding from community sponsors, supporters and event participants.

To register click on the registration tab and complete our online registration form before September 6th. Registration cost is now only $35. Each paddler must collect a minimum of $300 in pledges.
Only 125 vessel spots are available on a first come first serve basis including: recreational canoes, recreational kayaks as well as larger voyaguer vessels.
The Cornerstone Counselling Society of Edmonton, known as Cornerstone Counselling Centre, plans to raise an estimated $66,000 at the 2011 Paddling for Compassion. It will cost Cornerstone an estimated $24,000 to conduct this event. The money raised will be used to supplement counselling fees so Cornerstone can continue to offer subsidized fees to clients unable to pay the full cost of counselling services. ED Marketing and Communications Inc. is conducting this event and will be renumerated based on a contracted fee for service which is included in the estimated event costs.
